Grade 12 student Vincent Dwight Paulo from Nueva Ecija uses banana catsup to draw portraits of famous personalities while staying at home during the quarantine.
Celebrities Paulo has drawn include Liza Soberano, Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Taylor Swift and One Direction.
“I started doing catsup art since school and art supplies shops were closed,” said Vincent. “I was running out of materials, so I used catsup instead.”“I love catsup because it is readily available inside the house,” Paulo added.
He uses UFC Banana Catsup. “It’s always what’s in our kitchen, and we really like fried food dipped in UFC.”
His catsup creations have earned admiration online. The positive response has boosted his aspiration to take up architecture in college.
“Being more creative and resourceful is my objective,” he said. “Painting does not stop if you don’t have art materials. Alternative materials are everywhere.”
NutriAsia, the maker of UFC Banana Catsup, said it was thanking Paulo for using its product as art material and thus helping promote the brand, by sending his family its well-known food products.
