When I was a newlywed, I took cooking and baking classes. I was more inclined to baking, but when I started having children, I focused more on tending to them, and left the meal preparation to the helpers. When the children had all graduated, the family cook and I would make fresh bread pudding and I would give them to friends as gifts. Occasionally, I would take orders.

Lockdown has given the author more time to take orders again.

Since I had a lot of time during enhanced community quarantine, I started baking bread pudding on my own, since my kids missed it. I made a few adjustments and sent it to my children and a few close friends. They loved it, and encouraged me to accept orders. That’s how this all started! Now, my days are quite busy, as I am trying to keep up with the orders I’ve been receiving. —CONTRIBUTED BY FORTUNE LEDESMA
